Fire Risk Assessments

It is a legal requirement for all non-domestic premises and businesses that have five or more employees to have a written record of a Fire Risk Assessment.  The risk assessment must be suitable and sufficient and carried out by a competent person.

Fire Safety Training

Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

Article 21

“The responsible person must ensure that employees are provided with adequate safety training, Including suitable and sufficient instruction and training on the appropriate precautions and actions to be taken by the employee in order to safeguard him/herself and other relevant persons”

We know that safety training can often be viewed as a ‘box-ticking’ exercise and is not always taken seriously, so we aim to make our training sessions more engaging by tailoring them specifically to your business needs.   Our sessions are interactive – cementing your knowledge by getting you involved and making the training relevant to your workplace. 

We offer two standard packages but each can be fully customised in order to fit with your needs:

Basic Fire Safety in the Workplace

Basic Fire Safety in the workplace. (Maximum 15 persons per session). Duration 2 Hours

Course content:

  • Brief overview of fire safety legislation.

  • Main causes of fire

  • Action in event of fire alarm activation.

  • Action in event of fire.

Fire Warden/Marshal

Fire Warden/Marshal (Maximum 10 persons per session). Duration 3.5 hours

Course content:

    • Brief overview of fire safety legislation.

    • How fire starts and develops.

    • Duties and responsibilities of the Fire Warden (site specific).

    • Evacuation – the steps that are necessary to ensure that staff are able to evacuate the premises safely, quickly and effectively.

    • Practical exercise- sweep clearing using staff in role play

    • How to choose and use a fire extinguisher including live fire exercise.
